Mignonne “Maggie” Gavigan launched her namesake jewelry and accessories brand in 2014, inspired by a spontaneous moment of creativity: experimenting with an embellished scrap from a vintage couture gown, she draped it around her neck and walked home through SoHo—where countless strangers stopped her to ask where they could buy it. That drift between art and simplicity became the genesis of her first signature scarf necklace. Before starting her label, she built her design foundation working with brands like Rachel Roy and Loeffler Randall, later attending Parsons in Paris and New York—experiences that shaped her creative discipline and deep appreciation for craftsmanship.
