Ebony Mackey co-founded PlayHardLookDope, a bold jewelry brand known for its natural gemstone designs and unapologetically personal flair. She launched the brand in 2017 alongside her husband, leaping in after a five-year career in New York City nightlife and hospitality — and learning everything from the ground up, including website development, coding, and e-commerce logistics. As Creative Director, Ebony brings her background in performance and visual storytelling to every part of the brand experience. She designs all product and lifestyle shoots, crafts social media narratives, manages the brand’s digital presence, and has personally launched nearly a thousand pieces online. Ebony’s vision extends beyond design — she built a magnetic digital community via TikTok and Instagram by blending humor, authenticity, and lifestyle storytelling. Her candid videos have built genuine rapport with audiences and helped elevate the brand’s personality-driven growth.
